Hi Roy and fellow colleagues,
Apologies for not being as interactive as I would like to have been. I am also in agreement with others that the core Aqua-Ed workshop seems to sit better on its own at this stage. There is scope to have a closer relationship with organisers of AAC and maybe utilise an appropriate size room where AAC is being held pre-conference to help with logistics and potential key speaker availability and attendance of key stakeholders e.g. Industry, NAC, FRDC, DEWR, DPI&F and Training Providers to name a few that will also attend the main event. This will also help with advertising and hopefully costs.

Referring back to Mark's first line "Define What Aqua-Ed really is". Once this is nutted out and documented and possibly a mission statement developed we can aim for our objectives from these foundations. Key stakeholders will be identified (vertically and horizontally) and there will need to be representation from them.
Roy & Mark, I agree that then, the word "workshop" will have a stronger influence in why we get together. We could refine how much time is allocated to presenting, workshopping, questioning etc.

Lastly, having a closer involvement to the main conference, will ensure the appropriate timing of an education session presenting issues, outcomes, key innovations etc.

Cheers,

Joe.
